Test grade charts

On the common 90/80/70/60 scale you can miss up to 10% of the questions for an A, 20% for a B, 30% for a C and 40% for a D. Pick your test length to see the exact score for every number wrong.

Most you can miss, by test length

Each number is the most wrong answers that still earn that letter. Partial misses round down: on a 25-question test, 2.5 wrong is not possible, so the A limit is 2.

Score = right answers ÷ total questions × 100. Letters follow the common 90/80/70/60 scale. Some schools use 93 for an A, plus and minus grades or a curve, so check your school’s grading policy. For tests scored in points or with partial credit, use the test score calculator.
