About Final Grade Calculator
The night before a final, the only question that matters is “what do I need to get?” This site answers it, plus weighted averages, GPA and test-score percentages, with the formula shown so you can check it.
How we keep it accurate
Every number that comes from a law, a standard or a dataset links to the original source on the page where it is used. The math is shown next to each result so you can check it yourself. If you spot a mistake, the result shown on your screen is still yours to verify; we fix errors as soon as we find them.
Which grading scale we use
Letter grades follow the common 10-point scale: 90% and up is an A, 80% a B, 70% a C, 60% a D and below 60% an F. North Carolina, for example, made this its statewide high school scale in 2015. GPA points come from the 4.0 scale described by the College Board, with plus and minus steps as on the Indiana University scale. Your school may use different cutoffs, plus and minus grades or rounding, so your school’s grading policy and your syllabus always come first.
Nothing you type leaves your browser. The calculators run on your device and don’t save your grades.
